Red Hot Mommy

I used to drive a red PT Cruiser (before child #3 came along.)  My husband bought me a license plate frame that said "Red Hot Mommy" on it.  Now that I have been driving a silver mini van for two years … something I swore I would never do… I’ve been feeling the need for RED.

Well ladies, I finally found it and I am feeling like a red hot mommy once again!    Meet my little lovelies I found while visiting in Florida.  I had to go to two different stores to find my size.  They are candy apple red pattent leather.  I call them my … remember I have 3 boys… Lightning McQueen shoes.  Aren’t they fantastic!  They are by Moda and I found them at Stein Mart.

I think every girl should have a great pair of shoes like this!  They are comfortable, can be worn dressed up or with a pair of jeans and will turn just about any outfit from ordinary to extraordinary.  Go, ladies, hunt, for that pair of fantastic shoes!

Red Hot Mommy Lips:  How about a red fix for your lips!  Needing a little Umph?  Just put on red lipstick and you are there!  It is especially great, because, for most people, it is better to have a softer eye look with red lips, so it can be a quick and easy bump in style.  Here are some important things to keep in mind when doing red lips.  1.  Your skin should be flawless when using red lipstick, other wise the red can emphasize any imperfections in your skin, so don’t skimp on good daily skin care or on a flawless foundation look.  2.  Keep your eyes simple but strong.  Make sure your brows are well groomed and filled in with brow pencil or shadow.  Curl your lashes and apply 2-3 coats of mascara.  You can top it off with a thin line of liquid liner just along your top lash line.  3.  Line your lips and fill in entirely with a complimentary lip liner.  4.  Pick a fantastic red lip color.  If you are a cool season (either winter or summer) choose a red with a little bit of blue in it.   If you are warm (autumn or spring) choose a red with a little bit of yellow in it.  This is my favorite red right now.  It is called "Daring" by Artistry.
